The new Faculty of Science complex houses the Departments of Biology, Mathematics and Informatics. Four teaching and staff blocks are attached to a triple level walkway, consistent with the pattern set for the ongoing development of the campus. Deep eaves and colonnades protect the buildings from the sun and provide an extended sheltered movement system for students and staff. The typical block, with two levels of teaching space, and an upper level of staff offices, is intended as a prototype for future academic facilities.

The project was undertaken in association with Carlos Borges Arquitectos and ACE Consulting Engineers, with campus planning support provided by Julian Elliot.
