School Supply Unit

Ministry of Education, Khubetsoana, Lesotho

The School Supply Unit for the Ministry of Education, near Maseru, contains offices, staff support facilities and a large warehouse to support the distribution of textbooks throughout the country. With the active support of the World Bank, as funders of the project, the offices were designed to be heated and cooled using a "green" storage and heat distribution system, with the roof void heating or cooling air, which is pumped through diaphragm walls and a below-ground thermal store.
