Instituo Agrario Chimoio

Chimoio, Mozambique

The comprehensive redevelopment of the tertiary level Institute, built in 1985, includes rehabilitaton and alteration of the long neglected existing buildings and a series of new buildings, within the axial campus plan. New buildings maintain the language of mono-pitched roofs and simple planning that characterise the early buildings and add deep verandas to provide branches to the main walkway. The project was undertaken in association with Carlos Borges Arquitectos and ACE Consulting Engineers.
